Carrying the Light

Size: 30 x 38" | 76 x 96 cm
Materials: Oil on linen canvas
Shipping: Rolled securely in a protective tube

Carrying the Light explores the moment when we finally understand what we truly want and recognize how much of ourselves we have put aside because of fear, expectations, or limiting beliefs.

Sometimes this realization brings an unexpected sense of lightness. A decision that once seemed impossible suddenly feels natural. We begin to trust ourselves, see a direction more clearly, and find the courage to move toward something we may have wanted for a long time.

The figure moves through the water with her arms open, carried by its natural current. Her flowing hair follows the movement of the water, creating a feeling of freedom and release. Bright reflections move across her body like fragments of light, becoming a metaphor for the clarity that appears when we finally recognize our own direction.

The nude figure represents honesty with oneself — a moment when we stop hiding behind expectations and allow ourselves to acknowledge what we truly feel and want. Her open posture expresses trust, movement, and the decision to follow her own path.

The deep blue water creates a sense of immersion and emotional depth. Layers of Prussian blue, ultramarine, cobalt and darker blue tones surround the figure, while luminous reflections bring her out of the shadows.

Carrying the Light is about the quiet freedom that comes when we stop resisting ourselves and allow our own inner direction to lead the way.
