Artworks by Yuliia Moiseieva

My name is Yuliia Moiseieva. I am a botanical artist from Ukraine, working in two distinct mediums: vibrant watercolor and the rare, classical technique of silverpoint.

To me, a plant is not just a specimen, but a character. I look for unique angles to reveal their personality: sometimes it is a humorous take on nature’s whimsical forms, other times — a serious reflection on the fragility of life and death. My art is where botanical truth meets human sentiment.

I deliberately seek out unusual angles and compositions to transform an ordinary plant into a "character" with its own personality and mood.

For me, botanical illustration is far more than just a dry anatomical record. It is an attempt to find a balance between scientific accuracy and deep emotional resonance. I strive to ensure that the viewer sees not just a flower in my work, but a story and a life in all its complexity—from humor and playfulness to philosophical silence. Each piece is the result of meticulous observation, aimed at preserving the fleeting beauty of nature in its most sincere manifestation.
