Meet the New York artist whose piggies are hot to trot

Artist of the week: Seunghwui Koo

Seunghwui Koo is the hot, young, NYC artist whose colorful “pigple” have captured the imagination of the New York art world. In Korea, the pig is representative of wealth and good fortune. Koo plays with that symbology along with darker western associations of greed and a money-driven society, all without losing her urban, whimsicle vibe. She has forthcoming exhibitions in New York, Miami and New Jersey, making these piggies both great fun and very investible.
