About Zoë Day

Creating art makes me happy and that is my motivation. I studied art at Northampton Art College and then Fashion & Textiles at Nottingham Trent University. I later honed my skills as an artist at Heatherley's School of Art in Chelsea, Ruskin School of Art in Oxford and the Florence Academy. I have owned and run my own art school in Buckingham for over ten years. My recent work has been exploring the landscape around my home in the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside. Painting daily from life enpleinair with my dog (Lucy) I like to emerse myself into my surroundings, often using the things around me to add expression into the work. My work has an impressionist feel with a strong focus on light and shadows. Working with the finest pigments and mediums, my expressive paintings aim to bring the beauty of our wonderful British countryside to life.
