  • Biography

Viktoriya Richardson is an internationally known artist based in the United Kingdom whose paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions in England.

« I love what I do and would like to share my love through the colour. »

    Viktoriya Richardson

Viktoriya Rіchardson was born in Odessa, Ukraine, “The pearl of the Black Sea”. She moved to the UK in the early 2000`s where she now lives and works in Canterbury, Kent. Viktoriya studied art as a part of her education and for many years Viktoriya had a dormant desire to paint.

Viktoriya crafted an individual style that brings movement flow to the canvas with the use of vibrant colour and technique to create wonderful imagery of her subjects. Combining her Ukrainian upbringing with a creative drive inspired by the English vibes, Viktoriya Richardson presents bold yet sensitive figurative studies with a confident style and striking use of light and colour.

At this moment Viktoria's preferred medium is acrylic on canvas, using palette knife and flat brush. Her work brings to life icons from the world of film, music, sport, architecture as well as her own imaginative compositions.

Through her passion and impressive work Viktoriya`s art fame has developed quickly and her works were displayed in various exhibitions and galleries in the UK. She has also been featured in a national art magazine for her award winning “Best in show” painting of an Amur Leopard.

    Artist statement

“ I paint intuitively in order to find a connection with my subject and express my vision with colours and techniques  using my own signature style  to acquire the desired outcome. Whether it is a famous person or iconic architecture, I choose my subject by whether it captures my imagination as well as the passion I feel I can bring to the canvas.

Before I started to paint I could never have imagined how the art world would become such a precious and important part of my life, and I love the creative process that each painting demands from me. ”
