About Sue Bridge

  • Biography
I trained as a Graphic designer, graduating from Birmingham University in the 80s, and have always produced my own works alongside that career. In later life, in my 50s, I felt I needed more education in Fine Art so I attended the Slade summer school and completed 2 years on a Fine Art development course at Tonbridge Art school. I exhibited across Kent, in both solo and group shows. I love to experiment with mediums, from animation to painting to collage, with a somewhat mischievous and experimental attitude. Currently my work has focussed on painting again, my medium oil. I relish the fluidity of paint and the freedom of expressing myself through abstraction. My subject is autobiographical, reflecting memorable moments and emotions. This time I’m particularly confident about the new body of abstract work. I am being bold and risky, working on a larger scale than before and I feel they deserve to be seen. My paintings are visually exciting and authentic and the time feels right to start selling them and reach a bigger audience across the world. I’m motivated by some great comments from followers. I’ve looked and researched in to online galleries. Artfinder appealed to me as the works are highly creative and well executed. It is based on application, unlike other sites, so the customer knows they are buying a high standard of work and I myself as the seller can be sure I am amongst the best quality artists across the globe.
