About Srđan Dimić Demon

  • Biography
I am an independent artist from Zemun, Belgrade (Serbia), with current residence in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina. I started to work with engaging painting and graffiti of the nineties, in the midst of war events. I'm a pioneer of graffiti scenes in Serbia. I am the first one in Belgrade who worked 3D graffiti.
I have the participation of the 42. October Salon, which is a special experience, under the working title Art Viewed by the eyes of the artists, it was the first October Salon in the third millennium and the 21st century, the first one that was completely prepared and accomplished in postmillosevic's Serbia, and the first on which works were selected exclusively by artists.
I try to paint my perception of the letters itself which represents the will of the author to express my own ego and in my own way I am trying to paint a self-portrait. I'm doing everything manually, with no stencils, computer programs ... all sketches are made in the form of miniatures, exclusively by hand, without preparation on paper, but directly from the mass of plastic as a base.
In the first years of work, many stages of drawing were followed, which at that time implied a certain risk factor because the first drawings were created on wagons, bridges, the walls of the city ... mostly illegally. Productions of legally painted walls begin to work in 2004. At the same time, he develops plastic modeling, drawing and painting with various techniques, and designing and designing figures of the Transformers, which only a hundred artists work around the world.

All my works are based on the direct or indirect impact of constructivism, robotics with a special emphasis on industrial robotics and cybernetics. Also, going to Russia and visiting large museums left a special mark on my view of art.
