About Alex Sojic

  • Biography

I am capturing the interplay of physical, emotional, and cognitive articulation that, jointly with random drifts, may shape and re-shape human experience, particular forms of expression, perceptions as well as individual and collective decisions.

Facing an empty canvas or a piece of paper is the moment when I feel invited to immerse into it. It is the very act of painting that drives me to create my artworks the way I do.

Till 2007 I was living and working in my hometown Belgrade (SRB), ex Yugoslavia. During my Ph.D and a post doctoral period I spent some time in Exeter (GBR), and Bremen (DEU). Since 2008 I live in Milan (ITA).
