About Simon Mark Knott

  • Biography
    I'm wild about Wildlife because I was born in the ancient woodland of Wyre Forest, in the beautiful countryside of Worcestershire by the River Severn...

    I studied Art at Hereford College of Art & Design and the University of Central England, Birmingham, where I received a B.A. (Hons) in Design. I collected a few awards for design including * British Design in Japan * for a Citizen watch design and Heals of London Award for Furniture.

    My early career was as an Artist and Designer for Schools. Which included Designing and creating Educational Equipment, Murals and Kinder-boxes with exciting fantasy and story time pictures. I also designed and built large 3D Animal Bookcases... including Dragons, Lions, Elephants, Rockets, Castles and local Wyre Forest Wildlife.

    I now enjoy Pure Fine Art and the creation of Bird, Bee and Wildlife Art in all mediums * Oils, Acrylics, Watercolours and Pencils. I have take many photographs and videos of the local wild animals and insects in the Wyre Forest and they are my greatest inspiration.

    I also love painting Pet Portraits and one of my models is my wild Bengal mix cat called Gigi... Meow =^.^=
