About Roxanne Catherine Mapp

  • Biography

My journey as an artist started when I was a little girl growing up in
Trinidad & TobagoI was always fascinated by bright colors and textures.
My parents were heavily involved in Trinidad Carnival and as a result all of their
children helped out with the cutting of stencils, beading, sequins, you name it,
    we did it.

I love to motivate and inspire others through cheerful, colorful art, mixed media paintings,
graphic design and photography. My work is influenced by nature, textures, bright colors,
architectural shapes and lines. I use my
    photography as reference for creating.

    I am a dedicated, innovative, award-winning designer/librarian with
    experience in the following:

    ·         Art & Commissioned Paintings

    ·         Stationery & Gift Items

    ·         Print Graphic Design

    ·         Creative Workshops

Art is my passion and I shared that in my first book
The Avocado Tree: An Immigrant’s Journey.
    My second book
Creativity from Within is a book of inspirational poetry,
quotations and tips that one can
use as a platform for discovering and following one’s passion(s).

I gladly accept and welcome commissions.
    Please feel free to
contact me with your ideas, and I will bring your vision to life.
