About Raisa Graf

  • Biography
Raisa is a member of Professional Creative Union of Artists of Russia. She wanted to paint the whole life but got this opportunity only a few years ago. When art become your conscious choice every artwork / art series carry a message. Her message is about the ambivalence of life - there is always light in dark, cold in warm or something small in large. A message arises when a combination of these opposites is been organized in a certain way. Raisa also likes to add one more modality into her artworks, which is tactile perception. You can see one more version of ambivalence there: the cimulative process takes place in the field of consciousness. She likes to read books - exploring art critics' / artists' books, paintings inspire her to see a concept of the future painting. But not the details - they come during the art process, sometimes very spontaneous and expressive. She loves it very much that you can't anticipate everything in the artwork. Raisa would agree with Henri Poincare on his vision of nature of creativity at that point.
