About Phil Archer

  • Biography
I work mainly in oils, watercolours and sometimes in acrylics.  I also draw and produce lino cut prints.  I like the flexibility of oils and the unpredictability of watercolours - the experimental nature of working 'without a safety net'.  I like to paint people and places in a representational way.  Whilst I have a figurative approach I do not particularly strive for photographic realism but hope that my own style shows through in my work.
