I bought this painting for my husband’s birthday and he loved it. I have Matthew’s little robin as well and both are excellent. We like the style, colours and postures of the birds, which enhances their characteristics: in the case of the eagle, regal and powerful and the robin, curious and apprehensive. I shall follow Matt’s new work with great anticipation. Many thanks Matt, from Honk and Lanie :)

The painting was bought as a present for my daughter, it arrived quickly and well wrapped, she got it at Christmas, she and her boyfriend loved it and the stag is now installed in their flat in Brixton, London.

Another cracker by Matthew, an intriguing subject matter, executed beautifully, as always.... packed perfectly with some of his greetings cards added for good measure. Always a great pleasure to open the packaging up to reveal the treasure within.

Matt's paintings are wonderful, luminous and full of character and his assured brushstroke makes this stand out, a gorgeous plump squirrel, full of nuts! He has an amazing 'portfolio' of paintings of different subjects, wild life; creepy crawlies; portraits; none of them mundane
