About Maria Bevilacqua-Fischer

  • Biography
Maria Bevilacqua-Fischer is a Germany based professional artist, born in Italy. Her vision is to create and share unique and soulful paintings that convey harmony, joy and serenity. She therefore paints with acrylic colours, brushes and palette knifes, but essentially she paints with her heart and soul.

Her painting style is mostly abstract, gestural and expressive.  But recently sometimes figurative elements enrich her style and additionally she loves to paint dreamy land- and seascapes.

She loves vibrant and strong color contrasts, but also soft and soothing colors attract her. She adores to work in many layers to allow the colors to build different structures and textures adding other material (e.g. sand, paper, little stones,...) to give the painting a 'personality' of its own.

But she is also very skilled in painting with a reduced or minimalist colors palette as black &white, conveying an energetic and powerful message but still giving a sense of floating lightness through her art.

    Artist statement:

“I love to paint intuitively because I want to express feelings and emotions, words can’t describe. Especially abstract artworks in my opinion open spaces for sensitivity and imagination because the eye can’t relate to something already known.  It’s always something magical to me, when a viewer connects to the deeper level of perception through one of my paintings. So, I’d be happy if you draw some inspiration from my art.

If you have any questions regarding my art or one of my artworks - please don't hesitate to contact me. I'd be pleased to hear from you."
