About Marc Remus

  • Biography

Marc Remus: German fulltime artist with 25 years of experience, creating colorful Neo Pop-Art cityscapes.

Marc Remus has worked as a freelance painter, creating colorful, vibrant cityscapes for more than two decades. Besides cityscapes he creates abstract paintings in different styles.

Remus had solo exhibitions in over 60 galleries, mainly in Germany but also in the USA and Mexico. His work has been published in over 200 articles in dozens of magazines and newspapers. National German TV has filmed a few documentaries about him.

Having visited over 60 countries and 1000 cities Remus has travelled to many places. This helps him get a feel for the cities before he paints them. He rarely paints a city he hasn’t visited, even though he sometimes challenges himself to create a painting without having physically visited the city.

Remus had exclusively worked with galleries in the past 20 years after he received his art degree from Art Center College of Design in the United States. With the downturn of the gallery industry in Germany in the past five years the artist now offers his work for the first time online.
