About Lorraine Newman

I have a passion to create, it wakes me at night, I am happiest when I'm creating.I am a self-taught Artist, I like to experiment with different styles and techniques to keep it fresh and to appeal to a wide audience. I am a qualified Colour Consultant so I know about 'cool & warm' and 'complimentary' colours. I am inspired by the Sea and the boats in the Marina where I live on the South Coast of England. I prefer to holiday on Islands to experience the clear blue skies, low level light-pollution and again - the sea. I love to photograph foreign Architecture and paint or draw from the photo's when I return from travelling. My other passion is Animals, I am an Animal Carer and often I'm commissioned by customers to create a Pet Portrait. I have been painting professionally since 2003, I had a studio on the Marina Boardwalk a few years ago, now I paint from my home studio where my cat Lulu keeps an eye on me. All of my work is original, no prints. I use top quality materials and products to ensure longevity. I like to challenge myself so if you have an idea in mind, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
