Biography
Lizzie is a Oxfordshire based artist, prop maker and fossil hunter! She creates paintings and drawings which show her obsession with colour, pattern, texture, repetition and organic form. In her paintings she builds up layers of colour and glitter and then works with the drying rates of the paint to produce textured paintings which are bright colourful and are often quite large. She aims not to mix the colours to create a unique look and style.
She studied at Brighton University finishing in 2010 with a BA in Critical Fine Art Practice. Since completing university she has taken part in many group shows, events and open houses – She has also just completed her first solo show at the Free Space Gallery in London which showcased her drawing and painting. In 2011 She had one of her drawings published in the book 'The Chronology of Pattern'. In 2014 she moved back to her home county of Oxfordshire.
She welcomes commissions and enjoys a challenge!
You will currently find her work for sale in Evergreen Art Cafe in Daventry and in many private collections across the UK.
When she is not painting she runs a small scale prop making company in Oxfordshire, making props for shops for clients such as the Natural History Museum and the Houses of Parliament. She also spends as much free time as possible on the Jurassic coast looking for fossils that she sells to people all over the world!
