    The White Horse of Uffington

We live in Oxfordshire near the Iron Age chalk horse. This is mandatory for a landscape artist to paint, so I walked up to the site, and while the dog played around I did some plein-air watercolour sketches and took photos, I decided that because it is so well known, it would be good to paint the horse from an unusual angle. I have now painted this in watercolours and oils.

Painting the enamel jug with nectarines

This jug looked so beautiful with its reflection on the shiny black table, and this time I have painted it with two celmentines, using a very restricted palette.

    Lin Painting

We live in a small Oxfordshire village. My studio is a beautifully lit conservatory overlooking a pretty garden. I paint every day, with my Westie and my Bluetip for company. I can enjoy my husband's garden and watch the birds feeding. Here you can see me finishing a cloudscape depicting the tree on Brightwell Barrow.
