Laura Corre è una donna che dipinge le donne.
Le opere qui esposte fanno parte di un progetto in corso che ha per oggetto la ricerca dell’interiorità, di ciò che va oltre il corporeo, il materiale.
Sono raffigurate principalmente donne ritratte nella loro intimità, nude fisicamente o denudate psicologicamente, che lasciano trasparire il loro mondo interiore attraverso la gestualità del corpo e delle mani

“They all look the same to me”
As a modern icon of cultural pluralism, this Chinese girl with kefiah writing in English on Instagram judges us Europeans/Caucasians ironically "all looking the same", as we often see the other races. Behind this lies often an inability or unwillingness to learn more about “the other”, who is different from us.

Biography
Laura Corre is a professional full-time painter who recently caught the attention of worldwide collectors. She lives and works in Tuscany.
"I am a woman who paints women. My work is mainly focused on the representation of the female body.
I believe in the power of images and color; in a realistic and conceptual painting that can combine aesthetic pleasure, nourishment for the spirit and social commitment. Through my painted women I would like to express what it means to be a woman in the present time, touching on themes such as commodification of the body, gender, body positivity, equality and gender violence.
Other recurring themes in my works are the transience of life and the ecological urgency that I express through landscapes and still life with succulents, thorny cacti, flowers and books.
