Kathleen Steventon was born in New York, one of nine children to her widowed mother. She attended Rutgers University and and in 1983 graduated with a degree in Landscape Architecture. Marrying a Brit in 1988, Kathleen and her husband Anthony moved abroad for eight years, living and working in the UK, Saudi Arabia, New Zealand, and Luxembourg. When Kathleen moved back to the USA, she and her family decided to settle in rural Colorado, surrounded by mature pine forests . Her works continue to deepen in beauty, with color and movement, all done with a palette knife in oils.
