  • Biography
Inspiration from the ever-changing Scottish landscape, the colours, shapes and textures of the rocks, seaweed, trees, lichen, moss there is a constant source of creative energy for me. I am always looking and absorbing these images as a reference for my work.

Fulfilling my early ambitions, I trained as an architect diversifying firstly into set design and then into designing and hand printing wallpaper which became a full time occupation, I was fascinated by this process and processes in gereral.  After running a my own successful wallpaper company for many years I sold the company and moved to the west coast of Scotland as I was enthralled by the colours, atmosphere and spaces in the landscape.

I am a primarily a printmaker, recently I have been concentrating on using recycled material and started producing collagraphs and monotype prints.

I also work in pastels, oils and mixed media, I find that alternating processes drives new ideas and I get so excited about new aspects of my visual landscape.

I also teach art and printmaking. I have a large bright studio that I built in my attic with views of the Loch.
