About Julius DC Bautista
Biography
My work blends my fondness for contemporary portraiture with elements of my roots in illustration. The result is simultaneously formal and abstract, dreamlike, whimsical, and surreal. The narratives I depict never really exist in the real, physical, tangible world. My portraits and figures are captured in suspended motion, embellished with frivolity.
