About Julie Campbell

  • Biography
I take inspiration from prose and personal memories. I capture the essence of life by painting several layers, obscuring parts and allowing other areas to dominate. My paintings convey many themes as life is full of riches yet to be discovered. I am always exploring new ideas with the use of mediums to create texture. The use of colour is an important factor as I believe that it has a language that contributes to our intellect and emotions. My work is painted with bold hues and strong form juxtaposed with morphic shapes.
I have exhibited and sold in local galleries and art events. I have a BA(Hons)Fine Art and am a member of the Wirral Arts Society.
