    Pintar Rapido

Pintar Rapido is the UK's biggest outdoor painting competition and exhibition. It will be on 11 & 12 July 2015. There are still some tickets for submission. I hope the weather is not as hot as last year. This was the picture I did last year.

Let's turn the old post office into a art centre!

Let's turn the old post office into a art centre!

A local developer had their eyes on this bright and airy listed building used to be a post office, the council let us (Kingston Artists Open Studio) used it for the Open Arthouse Exhibition in June. During the show we started a petition to save the building and turn it into a art centre/art gallery/local art community. We had great response, many people had signed up.

BRUSHES - usually two kinds – soft sheep hair brushes and the hard wolf hair brushes. INK STICK - are made of tung-oil soot, resin-soot or lacquer-soot. PAPER - painters may choose either rice paper or prepared silks. Rice paper is absorbent and when the painting is dry, the paper shrinks and become wrinkled giving its characteristic appearance. INK STONE - made of a very fine stone produced in Kwangtung Provinces. Drop a little water on the inkstone and then rub the ink stick round and round in it. The ink is ready for use when it is thick enough to become lustrous black.

    Pintar Rapido

    Pintar Rapido

Pintar Rapido is a new art show that celebrates the urban spaces and places in which we live and work. In the summer of 2013, Pintar Rapido came to London and for one day in July, took place in the streets of Chelsea and Kensington. I was one of over 300 artists who took part. It was an experience I will not forget for a long time. We started working 9am and had to finished the picture by 8pm. It was a hard day's work, but the end result was worthwhile, I sold the picture within 10 minutes of opening. :)
