    Painting lots of small paintings for the holiday season. Today, I painted the edges of 22 pieces of art. I also coated them with gloss medium and a final finish of satin sheen varnish. It's important to me for my paintings to have a clean professional finish.

    Painting in Progress

    I started this painting with only the idea that I wanted to make something with fall colors. Otherwise, I had nothing else in mind. I often let the painting take the direction it wants to go. I tend to work intuitively, so I spent time looking at wonderful fall images. I have found that what I see has a huge influence on how I paint. Take a peak below and see where this painting ended up :)
