About Jessica Sanders

  • Biography
Making art is about so much more than the paint and canvas.  Its about letting go.  So much of my culture is about logic, practicality, and control.  Art is about reaching past logic, letting go of control, and following the path that leads deep into your soul, you intuition, your spirit. It's about letting your best self come forward.

In that process of abandoning, that moment of becoming vulnerable, there is only the path before me.  Does it make sense, is it rational?  Is it safe?  Not in the least, but I must follow it.

    I am an Artist.

As an artist, my desire for my art is to bring a smile to your face.  That may seem trivial, but I believe it is transformational.  If for only one brief moment of your day, you paused to smile at the beautiful art that I created, then the world is a better place.  And maybe, just maybe, you will have the opportunity to pass that smile on to someone else. We are more together.
