About Jeff Kaguri

  • Biography
As an artist with a background in architecture, I am fascinated by the intersection of art and design. My love for drawing and architectural communication began in school, where I excelled in drafting plans and creating stunning renders. However, it wasn't until I started working and bought my first phablet that I discovered my true passion for digital drawing.

Using my phablet, I began creating doodles that I later enhanced in Photoshop to produce beautiful digital prints. Alongside this, I taught myself 2D animation, which added an extra dimension to my artistic abilities. Soon after, I opened my own studio and started experimenting with recycled materials as mediums, including collage and mosaic work made with fabric, vinyl and glass.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, I turned to digital art as a way to continue creating and developing my skills. During this time, I began to develop a new style in digital drawing, which allowed me to produce intricate and detailed illustrations of birds, people and animal silhouette I also continued with animation, editing video for amazing backgrounds for podcasts and music lyrics for music.

In recent years, I have taken up urban sketching as a way to capture the essence of the cities and towns that I visit. Using Adobe Illustrator, I transform these sketches into digital prints, adding color and texture to create stunning pieces of art.

My work is a reflection of my diverse interests and passions. From architectural design to animation, digital drawing to urban sketching, I am always seeking to push the boundaries of what is possible, and to create works that are not only visually stunning, but also socially and environmentally conscious. My use of recycled materials reflects my belief in the importance of sustainability and responsible consumption. At the same time, my fascination with birds, people, and animal silhouettes speaks to my deep appreciation for the natural world and our place within it.

My ultimate goal is to create art that connects with people on a visceral level, and that inspires them to see the world in a new way. Whether through intricate digital drawings or vibrant urban sketches, I strive to create works that capture the essence of the places, people, and creatures that I encounter. Through my art, I hope to spark a sense of wonder and curiosity in others, and to inspire them to explore their own creativity and connection to the world around them.
