  • Biography

    WINNER of the Picasso Competition 2017 with my work: Sol LeWitt and Picasso. It was chosen by a professional jury out of more than 3000 entries for the competition. Chosen for its originality and brushstroke. The painting was shown in the van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven from May 2 till 9 july 2017


     I have been painting all my life but only took it seriously the last ten years. graduated at the art acadamy in Arendonk (Belgium) after 8 years and specialised in portrait painting. my idea behind. my works is that I try to make a painting exciting for the viewer. of course I have my own ideas when painting a portrait but I want every viewer to have his/her own ideas about the works.. furthermore I took a masterclass in Spain in 2016 trying to understand the works and colours of the spanish master, Sorolla, better.

    Krabbe looks for Picasso / WINNER

    25 works were selected out of 3000 works following the documentary " krabbe zoekt Picasso" . 8 episodes about the life and works of Picasso. My work" Sol LeWitt and Picasso" was selected as well.

    2016

    Van Lanschot artprize 2016

    I sent in the piece "Back to Black"for the prestigeous "van Lanschot Art award". Out of 508 works which were sent in, only 10 werse seleted by a professional selection committee. My work was among those selected.
    The next stage was that the general public could cast a vote on these 10 works.
    I ended up 6th in this competition. I couldn't gather enough public votes to get to the top four.

    2015

    Painting like van Gogh

    I sent in one of my paintings "never give up" for the "painting like van Gogh"competition in The Netherlands and Belgium. Out of the 1000 artworks which were sent in, a jury chose 125 works to be hung in the Breda's Museum in Breda from 26 November 2015 till 16 January 2016. My works was also included in these 125.

    Jacqueline's work "a penny for your thoughts"entered a competition among artists in Belgium end the Netherlands and came up 4th out of about 600 artists.

    Alphons Winersprize is a contest among painters in Belgium and the Netherlands. The artists can enter 1 work and this is judges by professional judges in several rounds. In the end some 50 works are selected for the end exhibition at the provinciehuis in Maastricht. Jacqueline's work "a penny for your thoughts"(not for sale) ended in fourth place and she got an award from the department of culture in south of the Netherlands

Van Lanschot artprize 2016
