    Do you relate to this?

    Here's a short video I've been working on recently about how I think some people imagine artworks are made - an icon in this case. I’ve been expressing the same idea in my latest traditional oil paintings, but the outcome (from an aesthetical perspective) had only enhanced the visual aspect of the artwork. It’s not like the main goal was to bring into discussion how time consuming creating a piece of art is (depending on the technique) but it sure is a hint for how some people think artists are engaged in the creative process. This year I’ve started painting Byzantine Icons and as you can see here I’m just presenting a “beginner level” approach on how you can get to some decent results.
