    id-iom in a nutshell

Artist duo fusing pop culture and storytelling with spray paint, stencils, paper and pretty much anything else we can lay our hands on to create irreverent art with a street aesthetic. We paint walls, and stuff to hang on them too.

    What’s our story?

We are self taught brothers - Sholto and Hugo - originally from the Isle of Man, now living and working in London. Having always been heavily influenced by urban and comic book art, we began in clothing and apparel, before moving onto murals, paintings and prints.

    What’s the deal?

We are dynamic artists who are constantly fascinated by the world around us. We fuse ideas from pop culture, music, literature and stuff that makes us laugh to create work that makes people smile. As multi-media artists, we combine a spray and stencil or paint and paper approach with other techniques, including digital, lino cuts and photography. We will never stop experimenting.

We believe everyone has a story to tell, and we lean into our namesake with a passion for playing with language. As such, you’ll often find words and quotes mixing with portraits and people to create our colourful visual style - all tied together with an imaginative narrative for each piece.
