    Artwork Evolution

    A collection of pics I took during the creation of the Sumatran Tiger piece. I wanted to created a series of pieces with that had extra meaning so I'm working on endangered animals. The Sumatran Tiger is just one animal at risk due to humans destroying habitat and there are only estimated 400 left in the wild.

    The magic of varnish...

    I don't varnish all of my paintings, depends on the style and finish but this high gloss varnish really works on the sunflower colours.

    Fields and fields of sunflowers

    My final sunflower piece, love these base colours against the black. All the painting on this one is finished, stencils are finished, just needs a varnish finish to bring out the colours more.

    Another piece in the same style as "Always two there are..." Half way through, base colours are all done on the canvas and the first panel of colour is down using a stencil. Waiting for it to be 100% dry before adding the 2nd more detailed layer. Look out for the finished piece in my artwork soon

    Too many dancers

    My street dancer idea which didn't really work. I wanted to try opposite silhouettes using black and white. White on black looked so stunning that it kind of made black on white look worse and took something away from it.

    Old stencil, new idea

    This was a fun experiment. I had a couple of old pieces that hadn't really worked out so I put them to one side and left them for about a year. I was having a sort out of my stencils and my original dragon piece was so much fun to use that I thought I'd reuse it on one of the canvases and see what happens.
