  • Biography

    A collage impressionistic artist, working both in the UK and France. Helen's work is detailed and figurative, her artworks depict numerous subjects, including people, seascapes, architecture, animals and flowers. With multiple pieces of torn newspaper and magazine print, she layers and re-layers until the piece is completed. Her aim is to have captured the feelings, both physical and mental of the subject to the viewer. The works depict feelings of texture and a feeling reality by using both vibrant and sometimes mono colours. She was inspired firstly by Italian mosaics and later by the impressionistic painters and also Picasso and Henri Toulouse Lautrec.
