  • Biography
I paint - mostly in acrylics - and create fine art and outdoor mosaics. Subject-wise I focus on the natural world but colour is always to the front of my mind when I work. I love colour; it intrigues me the way colours affect our emotions so powerfully. I often paint animals; they are perfect subjects - beautiful, expressive and soulful. Having worked with animals for much of my  life I feel connected to them.

I experiment with painting styles but am drawn to a loose, painterly approach rather than realism. I prefer to suggest rather than reproduce. I've recently discovered the freedom and expressiveness of palette knife painting - I love being so liberal with the paint!

I've exhibited locally and nationally and have sold work through galleries and online for a few years.
