Hello,

My name is Geoffrey and I've been painting for around 50 years.

I've studied at the Royal Academy Schools.

I've also exhibited and sold art at internationally respected art institutes for many years. These include the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, the Royal Society of British Artists and The Pastel Society. Recently, I was a finalist at the BP Portrait Award at the National Gallery.

When I'm not painting, I'm fortunate to teach drawing and painting masterclasses at the University of Leicester.

In terms of my art, I'm mainly inspired by the master craftsmen; the greats like Dick Van Dyke, Diego Velasquez, and John Singer Sergeant.

I love the immense craftsmanship behind drawing and painting; the challenge of rendering an image through the likes of light, form, texture and tone. Furthermore, the beauty this creates when achieved makes it not only a challenging pursuit but an incredibly joyful one.
