About Gaz Prescott

  • Biography
I have always been involved in art. I have painted, sketched and even spent a few years as a tattoo artist specialising in black and grey and japanese style skin art. It wasn't until I discovered photography, and by extension digital art a few years ago though that I truly discovered my outlet and began creating works that really reflected my imagination.

I am inspired by magic and beauty and the world around me. I love to create surreal and magical scenes often including a combination of natural wonders such as our own milky way galaxy. I love natural textures and will try and use them when I can but the work that really speaks to me is usually the conceptual art. These are the ones where I wake up in the middle of the night with a concept in my mind such as the passage of time or the crying of mother earth and immediately start building up an image in my mind of how I imagine that concept is portrayed. Some of my personal favourites have been born this way and even had evolved versions because I came back to the same concept.
