Biography
GALKU$H is a blend of bright saturated colors, contrast, abstract elements, madness of perception, anarchy of self-expression, symbolism and aesthetics. In his paintings, one can see the influence of Vincent van Gogh's expressionism, Salvador Dali's surrealism, Jean-Michel Basquiat's neo-expressionism and Voka's spontaneous realism, which mixes into a sparkling psychedelic cocktail.
In his works, the artist seeks not as much to reflect reality, as to the express the emotional state. This is a frank statement that reveals an artist’s self-portrait, in which the principle of expression prevails over the image. The beauty, problems and contradictions of life, that breed anxiety, obsession and frustration, are transmitted by using angular, distorted lines, short and rough strokes along with flashy color. The preference is given to extremely contrasting colors in order to enhance the effect on the viewer and not to leave him indifferent.
