About Frederick Ardley

  • Biography

I want my photography to bring about an atmosphere of feeling and emotion that can inspire creativity in others.

I am a self taught British fine art photographer.  Much of my inspiration often comes from great oil painters such as Constable and Turner. They portrayed the English countryside in such a transcendent beauty and this is something I strive to show in my photographs.

My subjects range from dramatic landscape work, to macro and portraits. I am now entering the world of conceptual photography alongside fashion photography, where more visual questions and curiosity can be sparked in my art.

My love for landscape photography itself began in 2011, when I visited Nepal. Experiencing an overwhelming explosion of culture, architecture and the largest landscapes imaginable, it kick started my love for the arts.
