About Emily Hancock

  • Biography
I am an Equine Fine Art Photographer based in the New Forest, UK. I am inspired by the natural environment which surrounds me and strive to create exciting and inspiring art to share with everyone.

In 2012, I was the first photographer in the UK to be awarded a Fellowship by the BIPP, without any prior training or qualifications. This was awarded for my photography series of the Camargue horses.

I was awarded 'Photographer of the year' 2012 by the BIPP and later became assessor for the BIPP. I still hold this position today and I am constantly inspired by the work I have the honour of assessing.

Horses have been a big part of my life from a young age, so it feels very natural for me to combine my passion in photography with horses. I am always looking for interesting lines, textures and shapes when photographing horses, and use these to create dramatic and creative art.

I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating it.
