About Elizabeth M. Higgins

  • Biography
My art brings people to life through color.  I most frequently use bright, warm colors to create my watercolor paintings.  I often paint to express my emotions.  Painting is playful and joyful to me, and these are the feelings I believe my paintings evoke.

I have lived in Oregon since 1995, where I maintain a studio in downtown Portland and teach youth art classes for various cultural organizations.  Recently, some of my art was featured on the popular T.V. series "Portlandia."

Professional Affiliations: Watercolor Society of Oregon; Oregon Society of Artists
