  • Biography

Born in 1971 and originally from Bordeaux, I grew up in the southwest of France, between vineyards, pine trees, and the ocean. I remain very attached to this crescent that stretches from the Basque country to the Garonne estuary. Today, I live near Lausanne, Switzerland. I run painting classes and work as a freelance web writer in French. I also give some tennis lessons during the summer season.

Creation and sport are essential to my balance. The need for expression has always been there, vital. Writing, which has long been my passion, gave me a springboard into painting. Self-taught, I work in series, often on several projects. With brushes, knives, hands, oil sticks, or pastels, I try different approaches and techniques.
I also “paint” on my digital tablet. As with lithographs, I limit my creations to 10 and have them printed on fine art paper.
Themes like presence through absence, loneliness, appearance, and disappearance, the passage and slow-motion of intersecting times speak to me more and more. Themes very difficult to express, but I will try. Melancholy agitation, suggestion, and imprecise time too.
