About Drea Astrero

  • Biography
Since I was young, I have had the urge to create art. Like a need to get my emotions and imagination out in the real world. I started out drawing with a graphite pencil on any type of paper I could find. Art teachers were scarce where I lived, and I did not receive formal training until the age of 12. Since then, every new technique and medium I have learned has only deepened my love for art and inspired me to share my passion with others. I draw inspiration from many different sources, especially my family. I have always wanted to make art that “wows” people, and I push myself to strive for that with each painting I create. After I graduated high school, I did not believe in my ability to sell my art professionally. So I majored in an art related field, but one which was not primarily focused on my creating art. However, after graduating college, I found that this field would not satisfy my hunger to express myself artistically. Therefore, I stepped away from following that career in order to pursue my true passion of creating art.
