  • Biography
    Since 2012 I work full time as an artist.
    I always wanted to do artwork but my life took other turns. My uncle Herbert List was a great phtographer and due to his influence I always wanted to do "not just painting" but create three dimensional objects that allow for the play of light and shadow.
    And in 2011 I finally found the material that provides the flexibilty, the structure and the variety to meet these mental requirements:
    I work with plaster, more precisely, with plaster bandages and give it a unique new shape. In long paths, arched with rifts, gorges and abysses, I create a world of experience with this material that is reminiscent of movement and landscapes, which create something new depending on the incidence of light and shade. My artworks, my plaster reliefs, have to hiked, circled and lead again and again to new colour experiences, depending on whether you look at it from the front, from the left or from the right. It is the very personal position that decides what impression a work of art leaves. I call this technique "Three-Views".

    While the "ThreeViews" technique is reminiscent of landscape, my other plaster bandage technique is about architecture. Here I work with plaster with a levelled surface, i. e. plaster bandages, in which the typical small holes are no longer visible when smoothed by hand. In several layers on top of each other and designed in one colour, these works are stricter, more sculptural, more puristic. Consequently, I use the English term "Pure" for this technique. It is the play of light and shade in multi-layered, complex spaces that the viewer can experience with these artworks.

    I took part in several exhibitions at fairs and galleries in the past and sold a good number of artworks and I will take part in a lot of exhibitions this year. However, I would like to show my art to a broader audience and believe that artfinder is the right place to do so. :-)
