About Di Kappel
Biography
Visual artist and designer from Dusseldorf. Born in Ukraine, graduated from State Art College and Institute for Art and Design in Kharkiv. For twenty years living and working in Germany.
My art is based rather on an inner impulse than on external impressions. The creative process is divided into two phases: first, I spontaneously express my feelings and sensations happening on a subconsciously emotional level. Then, I adds my professional experience and knowledge on my rational level. Finally, I make sure that both of these phases complement and reinforce each other to give visual coherence and harmony to the painting.
In my figurative and abstract paintings, I am looking for something that I would call A SENSE OF IMMEDIATE VISUAL PLEASURE. I consider the goal of my art achieved when the viewers look at my artworks and experience this feeling again and again.
