    The return to texture

I return to textured contemporary abstract painting. Building layer by layer and adding directly from the tube sometimes not bothering with a brush. I love the act of creating.

    Mini

    Mini

I paint to satisfy my need to create, I do not paint to sell, but can the two coexist? This is an attempt to find out. I am going to produce a series of miniatures in three styles to see if ART and managing to put food on the table can work.

    Creation

    Creation

Painting and creating is fundamental to my existence, like eating or breathing. I am sure it's the same for most artists who create things. Yet for every artist there are those who enjoy viewing it and even some who are lucky enough to be its custodian. There are countless styles and mediums to work with, we all have our preferences, but whichever method used there is always something to learn. I have one painting owned by the state and many hanging in homes around the world. The best feeling is when someone commits purchasing a canvas, and being told how much they enjoy it.

    Oil

I am an abstract minimalist, but it is good to go back this is oil painting called The Island. I try not to lose the knack of working in the medium that I started in.

    Gold and red

This is a subject I return to again and again. I love the simplicity of minimal paintings a single brush stroke can be powerful.
