Biography
Deb is a self taught artist living in the Hunter Valley, north of Sydney, Australia. Her style is realist and she works mainly in the medium of pastel.
Like many others, Deb’s passion for art began as a child. She would spend hours copying illustrations from storybooks, obsessing over every detail.
In 2012, after a busy life and career, Deb decided to revisit her childhood passion to see what she could achieve.
A year later, she entered her first gallery competition, the 2013 Lane Cove Art Award. Her work “Contemplating” was awarded the People’s Choice Award.
She has won awards for both her wildlife and still life works and been a finalist regularly in group exhibitions. In 2020, she had her first solo exhibition.
