I believe in broken molds and creative chances. I paint in the Intuitive and love to mix patterns, drips and color with intention. I find acrylics in all forms to be a happy medium.

The Intuitive painting process is a very unique way for creating. The canvas is submerged in an array of markings, doodles, drips, stenciling, and acrylic paint. All of these moments allow for creative opportunities. Once I sit down to paint, the canvas pulls me in the direction it wants to go. I do some intention setting with color, and imagery, but in the end, I am always surprised where the canvas leads. I mainly chose Portraits of Women, no matter how unique or unusual they are, they are reflective of the complexity of the feminine figure.

Why? is my signature, dalenay, so much a part of my Art? My signature identifies my Art, as mine for all time. My signature is my Arts identity, it's 'brand'. It is always painted in the same medium as my Art, embedded in the Art itself, sometimes appearing 'bold', always painted to signify the completion of a painting. I 'purposely intend for it to be a consistent characteristic of my Art', I won't always know the fate of my Art, but my characteristic signature forges the future of myself as an Artist.
