    Puffin Linocut

This is my latest print. I printed this just 2 days ago (8th August). I have an idea of using different North Sea birds and creating an almost Pop Art type effect. Keep checking back for progress, I'm currently working on the next design. It will ultimately be a collection of 4 prints.

    Tynemouth, King Edwards Bay

    Tynemouth, King Edwards Bay

It's only right that I include a photo of what inspires me. I live and work in Tynemouth because I love the sea. I love coming out of my front door and instantly seeing the sea. Nothing is nicer than the smell of the salty air wafting through the windows. This beach is called King Edwards Bay. A small sheltered bay at the foot of Tynemouth Priory and Castle. A perfect spot for a lunch break.

    Hermit Crab Lino Print

    Hermit Crab Lino Print

I would actually consider beach combing and rock pooling to be a hobby of mine. A minutes walk from my home and studio, when the tide is out, you can wander quite far out over the rocks. I always spend time watching the hermit crabs run around in the little pools, it's amazing how many you spot when you stand still and wait. It was only right that a hermit crab print graced my studio. I wanted to keep the prints limited and affordable as I believe original art should be affordable for everyone.

    Tynemouth

    Tynemouth

I live and work in Tynemouth, a small village at the mouth of the river Tyne. Despite being just a small village the history and landmarks are fascinating. This is a view of my home town from the end of the north pier.

    Cuttle Fish Linocut

    Cuttle Fish Linocut

When I was small I remember walking along my local beach and finding a cuttlefish beak. I was fascinated and remember being shown a photo of what they looked like amazed at the kinds of creatures we have swimming in the North Sea. I am still amazed by their beauty and wanted to carve a unique but often forgotten about fish.
