About Chrissie Havers

  • Biography
"As a Colourist painter, I thoroughly enjoy putting together interesting and varied colour systems in my work," says Chrissie Havers, a tutor at the Reed Art Group in Saffron Walden. "I paint in oils on canvas and am mainly interested in the landscape, finding inspiration both locally in Cambridge and Suffolk as well as abroad. Recently, I have been exploring the still life genre which appeals to me as an indoor landscape." Chrissie is inspired by the work of Pierre Bonnard as well as modern painters William Selby and Hugo Grenville. Chrissie regularly exhibits her work, most recently in the Not the Royal Academy exhibition at Llewellyn Alexander Gallery, London between June and August 2017.
