    Solo Craft Fair Southbank Summer Market

    I'll be selling my colourful handmade prints on Sunday the 4th June, 12-5pm, at SoLo Craft Fair Summer Market. Come say hi! Solo Craft Fair will be showcasing over 60 of London best makers and designers at Between the Bridges Summer Market. They will be selling everything from fashion to art, jewellery to plants and more! Between the Bridges is London's biggest beer garden, so once you've finished shopping - grab some lunch from some of the amazing food stalls and a drink from the bar. The market is taking place under cover - so we'll be there whatever the weather. Between the Bridges is the colourful popup next to Jubilee Gardens & the London Eye (look for blues, creams, and reds). The entrance is by the carousel and the SNOG bright pink double decker bus along Southbank. The entrance has 'Between the Bridges' written across it; this is where you enter. Then you will wonder through the garden to the main arena, and up on your left is the pier where we will be with 60 wonderful traders.

    I am very pleased to be exhibiting at the Derby Print Open for the first time this year! Open 1 to 30 June 2022. There are 60 printmakers exhibiting over 200 prints! On show I have a framed in oak ‘Tyto’ screenprint, a framed in walnut-stained wood ‘Long-eared Owl’ linocut, and unframed: ‘Barn Owl’, ‘Short-eared Owl’ and ‘Tawny Owl’ linocuts.     Tyto Screenprints Available on Artfinder

    I am so pleased to finally list my 'Tyto' screenprints in my Artfinder shop. It is a 3 colour limited edition variable print, playing with different colour combinations, in a limited edition of 35. The spark of inspiration for these prints came from the Eduardo Paolozzi exhibition at the Whitechapel gallery in 2017. I was attracted to his brutalist concrete sculpture Seagull & Fish; I tried to emulate the lines scored in the sculpture in a drawing of a barn owl. The concrete lines in the sculpture animate the bird and fish. The opposite is happening in my screenprint, the colours and forms capture the total stillness and silence of the owl as it focuses its gaze.

    Alhambra Courtyard print entry accepted - Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair 2019

    I am extremely pleased to have an entry accepted into the juried Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair, opening the 7th Nov and ending on 10th November 2019. You can buy tickets to the fair at 25% off (price will be £7.50) using code WCPF19. (See my about page for the fair website link). My entry is a photo-etching with chine-collé, of a courtyard at the Alhambra Palace. I have been lucky to visit this beautiful place on two occasions; the architecture is stunning; the decorative plaster work, mosaic tiles, wood and brick work, in repeat patterns, adorn every surface. Intimate rooms, graceful columns and archways lead you through to beautiful courtyards and gardens with splashing water features, a delight to the eye and mind. I do hope some of you get the chance to visit this exhibition. I’m certainly looking forward to viewing the work up close, such a different experience seeing prints first-hand, as digital images don’t quite do them justice.
