About Carlos Garcia Garcia

  • Biography

Carlos García-García, comes from a long tradition of artists in Venezuela. Parallel to his studies of architecture, he made several workshops of art. His Works of the figurative style, were represented by numerous galleries in Caracas and Miami. He obtained some recognition from the Central University of Venezuela.

He decided to evolve his work, left Venezuela and consolidated his artistic training in France, obtaining a "Bachelor of Plastic Arts" at the University Paris Saint Denis, and technical studies in Landscape, School of Breuil. In this country, there was an opportunity to exhibit at the Venezuelan Embassy in Paris, the "Salon de Grands et jeunes d'aujourd'hui" and the Association of Architects of the Ile de France Region. Having obtained several recognitions.

As an architect, he believes in "creative complementarity" as a working tool. It is centered on the eternal struggle between nature and culture ... the latter, through the use of a geometry that invades or represents, little by little, nature. He lived through a period of successive intercontinental moves, travel, and reflection, settling permanently in France and succeeding in expressing his forms and colors through his architectural projects.

Today, he returns to the source of his work, the dichotomy between man and animal, the city and nature, Being and appearing ...

Today, it builds among other things, geometric alphabets, based on a defined rhythm (circle / line / triangle) under a formal constraint (20x20) ... but leaving room for a sort of "gesture" between the drawing And construction.

At the moment of the production of each volume, each line evolves without seeking arguments, just a repeated gesture ...

It is like a "gesture of mass production", A sort of manufacture of "cities"
